The Medical Interpreter Dispatching Service

For non-Japanese speakingresidents to safely use medical services and have a healthy life in Kyoto City, medical interpreters are dispatched to hospitals.

How to Use the Service

There are 4 hospitals in the city where non-Japanese speakers can use interpreters. (Kyoto City Hospital, Ijinkai Takeda General Hospital, Koseikai Takeda Hospital, Kyoto Katsura Hospital)

  • ・Please ask for the interpreter service directly to each hospital.
  • ・Free of charge
  • ・Only outpatients can use the interpreter service.
  • ・Some hospitals require appointment for this service at least 5 days before going to the hospital.
  • * If you cancel your appointment, make sure to call the hospital.
